Solar (and now Hydro) power, good for the planet, good for business.

At GeoVario, we know that the future of business will rely more and more on renewable energy. That is why we are working alongside other like-minded companies to lead the way. The power consumption to run our global operations is offset by our own renewable energy projects. We actually generate significantly more energy every year with solar (and hydro as well) than we use. So not only are we carbon neutral, we are carbon negative!

It does not stop there. Although all of our energy is renewable, we do not want to be energy hogs or Industrial polluters.

Our physical devices ( servers, switches, routers, etc... ) are scored for selection based upon their energy efficiency from their 80Plus certification, RoHS compliant ( Lead-Free ), and Central Processing Unit (CPU) efficiency. For instance we exclusively use AMD Opteron platforms in all our cluster servers - which are between 7-15% more efficient under load and 44% more efficient under idle conditions. This translates to less power usage, less heat for air conditioners, and reduced potential for environmental hazards.
