Security - Netscreen / Juniper Networks Hardware firewalls
Many hosting companies simply place their machines on the net and 'Hope for the Best.' We instead spent thousands of dollars investing in true border firewalls, something usually reserved for Enterprise class customers. The result is significantly increased security and resistance to cyber attacks. Netscreen firewalls are hardware based, unlike the competition which is mostly software running on a commodity PC, a Netscreen device operates at the true native wire speed of it's ethernet interfaces. All our sites use High-Availability Clustered of Netscreen firewalls. If one fails, the others take over and your business is not interrupted.
Load Balancing - Foundry Networks hardware load-balancers
Foundry makes one of the few true hardware load-balancers, same features & benefits as above. Speed & Resilience. Also an High-Availability Cluster. Most hosting companies have no ability to provide load balancing services at all. Some provide the service for several hundred dollars extra. We provide the best-in-class, included with every account.
Servers - Sun Microsystems Enterprise grade servers
AMD Opetron processors, true hardware RAID disk (for zero interruption in service, cheap commodity PC "RAID" cards can stall for as long as a full minute when a disk fails. Ours do not skip a beat.
Storage - NetApp SAN based storage
Tier1 Storage Area Networks provide our clusters - true 99.999% uptime for storage and the ability to aggregate any number of servers into larger units. This kind of storage costs is out of reach for nearly all but the largest businesses, we bring it to you in all our offerings.
Power Supplies – American Power Conversion (APC)
APC is THE best in the business when it comes to uninterruptible power supplies, therefore we only use APC products to backup our datacenters.
